One of the nation's largest and most dynamic nonprofit organizations is currently searching for a Web Content Strategist to help provide user-focused content for business units across the company.

Are you excited about the idea of creating a meaningful and cohesive experience for users? Do you like working with others who are passionate about their work? We are looking for the right person to join our growing team of web professionals who are transforming our digital presence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing, editing, and placing all content into the many ASCE websites
  • Working with ASCE stakeholders to improve, streamline, modify, or update content
  • Creating new websites from conception to completion
  • Resolving issues and helping with web pages, conference websites, technology questions, and editing or writing questions
  • Advising stakeholders on web-appropriate images, colors, and/or video enhancements
  • Attending meetings and providing agendas and notes with follow up action items
  • Training for stakeholders and end users in Sitecore, Drupal, WordPress, and image sizing
  • Translating complicated text to more a readable and appropriate web style
  • Discerning when processes or systems need standardization or a reduction in complexity, with a personal drive and desire to improve those systems
  • Using analytics to advise stakeholders on best practices and ways to use their content

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced writing and editing skills
  • Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated success managing shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Fluency in HTML, CSS, Analytics, Responsive Web Design, Photoshop, and data-driven decision making
  • Demonstrated success working independently and as part of a team
  • Thorough proficiency using content management systems (specifically Sitecore, Drupal, and WordPress)
  • Experience writing for the web and creating user-focused content
  • Desire to work within a highly functioning, interdependent team of technology and process-driven professionals
  • Patience and diplomacy
